OCR: Dimensions In The Dark by J. L. Black Page 67 "I can't really say. I know you want to make this trip but ... " Audrey did not finish her sentence. She sat looking past my shoulder, as if transfixed by something behind me. Audrey's face appeared to be frozen. I could not tell if she was held by fear or by astonishment. I turned around to see what it was she was seeing. There behind me, over my right shoulder was a figure. The figure was obviously not solid, for I could see the painting on the wall behind it, through the figure. I looked at the face, but could not distinguish any features. Suddenly it faded from view. I turned back around, Audrey's face was drained of all expression and color. "Are you alright Audrey?" I asked, as I stood and moved over to the couch and sat next to her. "Are you alright?" She still did not answer. She sat, looking at the area were the figure had appeared. I carefully and gently touched her arm. She had no reaction, it was as if she did not feel me or hear me. Finally I reached around in front of her and grabbed her other arm and pulled her toward me, to twist her slightly so her body was no longer facing the area the figure had appeared.
